The practice of making decision

I let people do freely in our centers. This is the way of making decisions. In this way, people are making decisions freely and doing freely, so we can also get the results clearly. In this way, I can understand more and more about making mistakes and then work correctly. Because of allowing people to stay at the centers more and more people are staying in the centers. Among them, there are also many good people only who have good habits, so they obey and follow me. In this way, they can also get good results. Because of them, I can do many things and think of many things to do. Because of the good people who cannot be leaders but they are good followers, so I have chance to teach them to be a leader and I try to extend to do more and more things, more and more new centers when I have chances to do. In this way, I became busier in making decisions. At the beginning of the center, there are many things I cannot decide or do, so in that case, I don’t make any decision. If I cannot decide, I will not decide. If I can decide, I will decide. I learn to do naturally, but I am not controlling the people. That’s why even if I do nothing, some of them will do something to solve the problems. In this way, I can learn from them whether their actions are effective or not, but most of the actions are not effective. They cannot choose the right person, right time, right place, right method. That’s why they teach us about unsuccessful ways of doing good deeds. I make the Thabarwa centers free and I make my life free, not grasping as a monk or as a leader. I also let the others free. That’s why people are busy doing something because of the changing of the leadership in Myanmar. Now it becomes free. The former government is not free, but in Thabarwa centers I made Thabarwa centers free. To be like this I have to control some of the discipline grasping. Even if I allow the people in the centers to do freely, some of them may not want to do like this. That’s why they will control, so I have to stop them even if I cannot control and cannot stop, I don’t support them doing that. Without my support, it is difficult to do and to control and to make disciplines. If I emphasize making discipline, we will grasp discipline and Thabarwa centers will not be free; the activities, the mind and the actions will not be free. It is better to make Thabarwa centers easy to do many things good or bad. In this way, we can learn a lot in Thabarwa centers. They can learn from me and I can learn from them. We can learn from the people in the society, so also people in the society can learn from Thabarwa centers.

Although I make no decision if I cannot find a good decision, many people will try to solve their problems by themselves. In this way, I can learn from them after many experiences of making right and wrong decisions. Not only by learning but also at the same time I have to make decisions about what I can do. For what I cannot do I will make no-decision. For the questions that I can answer I will answer. For the questions that I cannot answer, I will not answer. This is the same in making decisions. Time after time, I become skillful in making decisions. I emphasize practice, not much theory. I am not rejecting the theory. I don’t reject the Buddhist literature, but a few people are also misusing the Buddhist literature. That’s why I try not to misuse like them, so it is also difficult. Therefore, I emphasize teaching freely. If I rely on Buddhist literature, I am not free because I am not skillful in Buddhist literature also. Besides, if my teachings are different from the other teachings, it is difficult. It will against the other traditional teachings. That’s why I emphasize teaching freely. The weakness is people come to misunderstand and these are not Buddha’s teachings because they are unlike the others. That is a weak point but a good point is not only Buddhists and religious people, the other religions and many other people are free to learn from me to practice as how I guide. There are many misusing about Buddhist literature. If we are doing as we used to do, there will have side-effects. I am trying to correct that mistake for the development of the modern Buddhism as much as I can.

Because of making many important right decisions, Thabarwa center becomes concerned with many people. It becomes countrywide and worldwide because of making great decisions that can correct the mistake of society. So to make the right decisions at the present time we should emphasize learning by practice. We need to learn not only by ourselves but also from the others. We need to take responsibility for being in charge of finance or account or in charge of healthcare, education, meditation, and being in charge of the centers like this. In the society, even if they have positions, they are limited, but Thabarwa centers are not much limited. There is no limit on our side but they may have their own limit on their side, so they need to detach from their selves by themselves. If we get to take responsibility, we are sure to be busy and we much make decisions all the time. In this way, we can be skillful in making decisions. I have to make decisions for many people in society, but even if they understand what is right to do, it is difficult to do in society. Therefore, they need to stay in the centers and take responsibility to learn about making decisions.
