Tonight I will explain about the way of doing good deeds at Thabarwa center. A Vietnamese yogi opened a nursing home, she has started it for about 8 years, it took 5 years of construction. She also collected donations by using social media but cannot get much supports from the public. Therefore, she had to sell her belongings for the nursing home; besides, she has got a loan from the bank and the others. After one year in operation, she had to close it again because lack of supports from the other, and she has loans in due. The project has been run for 8 years. She wishes not only for the older shelters but also for meditation. She tried hard but because of relying more on herself, she finally gave up. The problem also comes to her family. Due to these loans, she will be set in “blacklist” thus her children cannot go abroad. When I have a chance to get her difficulties, I tried to get more information and decided to fulfill her desires. She is doing what is good but she cannot detach herself, her family. That’s why she doesn’t rely fully on Dhamma or doing good deeds or the Truth. Therefore, she doesn’t have enough merits to run the project successfully. She has finished building up facilities with her best but she is not much skillful to use it in the right way, to be using-only. That’s why she cannot maintain it.

I have been solving many similar problems, since 2008, at the beginning of Thabarwa center in Thanlyin. That’s why I am skillful at solving problems. I know how to do it, whether I should do it or not and make decisions because of over 12 years – experienced continuously. Actually, I haven’t spent money but I have a way to do good deeds together. I have already successfully used that way in Myanmar for 1.5 years. So I agreed to pay back the loans on behalf of her. According to her, the whole property cost 600,000 USD but she agreed to sell half of that property. So we need to pay 300,000 USD within 3 years. At present, we need to pay 150,000 USD within two months as she wants to pay back for the bank and her creditor first. Therefore I let people are around the world who are concerned with Thabarwa center to know that I have started to collect merits of 10 USD for donations; we need donations from many people for this project. There are many Thabarwa centers around the world so I let it be public. Until now, we have already paid 90,000 USD and we have 52,000 USD by the beginning of next month. This amount is big for an individual or a single organization, but for the gathering of that it is not big. We need to work together, we can donate as much as we can thus it will not be overloaded. Many people or organizations are involved in this project, we are sure of getting success. This is one of the ways to do good deeds together continuously.

About 4 years ago, a similar incident in the Malaysia center, one of our devotees had the same difficulty. She couldn’t pay back her loans and asked me to help. At that time, I had no idea of doing good deeds together like this for finance that’s why I couldn’t help. Therefore she lost her properties and be in blacklist to go abroad. But sow she is still helping in Thabarwa center in Malaysia. Even if she got everything lost, she can continue to do good deeds. In Vietnam nowadays, the power of doing good deeds together of Thabarwa center becomes stronger than before. Therefore we are trying to solve the problem by using this method. If it works, doing good deeds in Vietnam will not be difficult, we can use this way of doing good deeds for finance in other projects. We can do this because we are doing good deeds for many years continuously, that’s why the power of merits of doing good deeds in Thabarwa center becomes stronger and stronger, nothing will be difficult for us. This method is useful to solve our personal problems, not only finance but also for everything. We just need to detach ourselves; if not, we won’t understand and do like this.

Now we are also doing good deeds together here in 9 day – meditation retreat at Phuoc Son meditation center. We are free to do good deeds as much as we can. If we are not doing good deeds together, there are limits in each of us. If we are together, we can go beyond limits. We just need to do what we can do. If most people here do good deeds together, whatever they can do, the teamwork of this group will lead to success; if not, teamwork here cannot succeed. The power of one person is not enough, we need the power of the majority of people here. This is the same for other problems. For those not dutiful in this teamwork, their own problems may not be able to solve. We all have our own problems for sure, problems are different because of seeing from one side or one person; if we see on the side of cause and effect, all problems are not different and all are caused by bad deeds. With this right understanding, we should be dutiful to solve the problem not only our own but also of the others. For those who are able to do what we can do, those may get success to solve this problem as cause and effect. But we need to be dutiful again and again. There are many problems, so they need to do good deeds continuously. The more we do, the more we can do; the less we do, the less we can do. Every action is possible, just need to be doing-only. This is the problem of other organizations, it happens in TNC Vietnam also. By solving the problems as much as we can, for sure that it will be solved. You all should understand this cause and effect to solve your own problems. If we fulfill the need of the others, our needs will also be fulfilled by others for sure. This is the surest way to get success.
