“Mindfulness establishes good causes and effects. The action of Mindfulness itself establishes the object to be mindful. If we are mindful at every present moment, the habit of mindfulness will be alive. If we are not mindful, ignorance or wrong view or misunderstanding is alive endlessly. We are used to misunderstand that something or “my” or “your” is real, someone or “I” or “you” are real. In fact, not knowing the truth or ignorance or wrong view or misunderstand is endlessly real. As a monk, i have been busy all the times to solve the problem of ignorance or wrong view or misunderstanding, not knowing about causes and effects, not knowing about right and wrong, not knowing about the truth of no “I” no “you” no “something” no “someone”, not knowing about the truth of meditation. it is easy to know about meditation but it is difficult to know about the truth of meditation. It is easy to know about keeping precepts, no killing, no stealing, no sexual misconduct, no telling lie, no using intoxicating, this is knowing about keeping precepts. But it is difficult of knowing about the truth of keeping precepts. Keeping precepts is the real prevention, safety, protection. The real meditation is keeping the mind to be stable and pure. The truth about dana is giving, abandoning for free. Yesterday we went to see the house of the nun presented to me, she usually stays alone at her house, so also she wants her house to be used for meditators for meditation retreat. She also intends to be a nun two years later permanently. therefore, we went to see her house, her house is near with the family who donated family car. We found information that near the house there is a big Mahayana temple that has been rarely used. The man gives for the poor to use without paying any renting fee. We came to see from outside. This is a big building with enough compounds, with good surroundings for meditation for many people to sit there. Now we receive the information that we can use that monastery for about two or three months continuously. If we want to use for long term, we can ask permission to the monk. Therefore, we intend to go and see the monk tomorrow evening. He is also doing charity works, he has another center but he doesn’t have enough people to take care of that center. In this year, 2020, we are doing a retreat here, to do good deeds against corona virus is spreading worldwide. We are doing what is the most needed good deeds , that’s why we also get good results. Right now were donated one used car. Besides, we were able to find a suitable car for Thabarwa center Malaysia and we also found a suitable place to open new Thabarwa center in Malaysia. We have been trying to find a suitable place near Kuala Lumpur for many years but now because of doing good deeds against corona virus, we can save greatest merits and we also get amazing results or benefits. We also go to Singapore which is in danger of corona virus, we will go there with a group of over a hundred people, and then we can practise meditation retreat there. In this way we can see what kind of greatest changes will happen in Singapore also. At the moment, it is very dangerous, no more ceremony, no more group or event but we are taking risks by staying there and doing good deeds there. doing only is opposite with doing with attachment. if we don’t know about our old attachments whatever we do we cannot understand the truth of doing only. Now you are doing good deeds besides you know your own attachments or greeds, anger, delusion. That’s right action, right knowing, knowing the truth is right knowing, understanding. Because of right understanding there will be right actions, because of right actions there will be right understanding. Samudaya sacca is the Four Noble truths, samudaya is the cause, dukha sacca is the effect. If there is cause there will be effect, if there is no cause there will be no effect. Cause and effect are connected, if we don’t know the effect we cannot know the cause. If we know the effect we can know the cause. Suffering is consequence or effect; attachment is cause; detachment is cause; freedom – no suffering is effect. No “I” no “you” no “mine”, no “yours”, no “something”, no “someone” just cause and effect only. When we are mindful to ourselves, we are sure to know the present suffering or attachment. Knowing our greed, anger, delusion or attachment is knowing the truth. Because of not knowing the truth, there are endless attachment or greed, anger, delusion or endless suffering. The more we know about our own attachment at the present moment, the less suffering will be. We just need to continue knowing about present attachment or greed or anger or delusion until you know that both cause and effect are nothing, not something. Just nothing, impermanent nature. You know about the present attachment are not your owns, not the other’s. Attachment is just impermanent nature, not something, you need to understand the truth of attachment. if you understand like this your attachment will be reduced. and then we can be doing only more and more.”
