Not feeling the breath, the body and everything while meditating

Question: Hello Sayadaw, I have never joined in a meditation retreat before, I did study online or through books. Before the retreat, I couldn’t feel my breaths nor my body, and everything just went lost at the time. I’m wondering what happened and what I should I do with my practicing.

“Because of attachment we are breathing intentionally; because of attachment our body exists in the mind; because of detachment breathing and body disappear. Once we experience like this we should try to accept the disappearance of breath and body. But you cannot accept to lose breath and body from the mind. Therefore you keep it in the mind again. Disappearing of the body and breath is right but not accepting that experience and keeping it again in the mind is wrong. Whenever we experience something like this, we should try to accept it. Nothing to do, just accept it. Even if the idea of someone or I disappears from the mind, we should try to accept it. If we cannot accept, we are wrong because by practicing doing what is right, we experience the Truth. Not accepting the Truth is the wrong action. So you should try again to accept the truth, try to experience disappearing our body and mind like that.”
